Keep It Simple- Audrey Hepburn & Gap

It's hard to ignore the new Gap "Keep It Simple" ad campaign which seems to have taken over the world overnight. Two days ago I was about to hop on muni on my way to work (which is at the Gap!) when I noticed that the walls of the muni station were literally wallpapered with ads displaying "The Skinny Black Pant". The same goes for the rest of San Francisco. As much as I love Audrey Hepburn and appreciate Gap for making a serious attempt at bringing better, more sophisticated clothes (instead of all that ugly, obnoxiously colored crap they carried for summer), the ads are overkill.

The only thing that saves this campaign is the seriously brilliant commercial of Audrey dancing to ACDC. Since I don't watch TV (with the exception of Project Runway on Wed. nights) I just went ahead and logged on to gap.com to watch it. Watching Audrey's dance from the classic Funny Face to the three most famous guitar chords in rock-n-roll was mesmerizing, I couldn't take my eys of the screen. Go watch it if you haven't seen it yet!

And I bought the "Audrey" black twill pants, the fit beautifully. Of course I got them with my employee discount but even at $48 they are a bargain for a timeless, classic piece.
